The ultra-fine pulverizer controls the size of the pulverized particles through several methods:
Mechanical Adjustments
Grinding Element Configuration: The design and spacing of the grinding elements, such as the grinding disc, beater, and grinding ring, can be adjusted. A narrower spacing or a different arrangement can result in more intense grinding and a smaller particle size.
Speed Variation: By changing the speed of the grinding components, the force and frequency of impact on the material can be altered. A higher speed generally leads to more vigorous grinding, reducing the particle size to a finer level.
Air Classification
Airflow Velocity: The ultra-fine pulverizer uses an induced draft fan to create an air force. The velocity of the airflow can be adjusted to carry particles of different sizes. Finer particles are more easily carried away by the air, while larger particles are left behind and returned to the grinding chamber for further processing.
Classification Impeller: The grading impeller in the machine rotates at a certain speed. Particles that are smaller than the critical diameter (target size) are sucked into the grading impeller and then sent to the product collector. By adjusting the speed of the grading impeller, the cut-off size for the collected particles can be controlled.
Feed Rate Control
Material Input Quantity: Controlling the rate at which the material is fed into the pulverizer can affect the particle size. A slower feed rate allows more time for the material to be ground thoroughly, resulting in a finer particle size.
Screen or Mesh Size
Built-in Screens: Some ultra-fine pulverizers may have built-in screens or meshes. These act as filters, allowing only particles smaller than a certain size to pass through, while larger particles are retained and re-ground.
Temperature and Humidity Control
Material Properties: Adjusting the temperature and humidity of the grinding environment can impact the material's properties and its susceptibility to being pulverized. In some cases, optimizing these conditions can lead to more consistent particle size reduction.
