Advantages of conditioning
a. Improved production capacity
Because the material to be extruded has been partially cooked by steam, the mechanical energy needed for heating product to the maximum temperature will be much less, therefore, for an equipment with given power, its production capacity is much higher than that of a dry extruder with the same power.
b. Greater shaping capability
The use of steam and water increases the water content in material, and this will greatly improve the shaping performance and final quality of the product.
c. Reduced abrasion of the extrusion parts
The cooked material has the corresponding temperature and ripeness, therefore, it does not need very high pressure and friction in the extruder barrel, and additionally moisture can act as lubricant, all these greatly reduce abrasion, so that the service life of barrel elements and screw is surely increased.
d. Improved gelatinization of starchy ingredients
The steam cooking improves the gelatinization of product, making it more palatable and digestible.
Application
This conditioner model is specially designed to aim at conditioning of feed processing. Generally, it is applicable for conditioning powdery and flowable material.
This conditioner also can be using as mixing function.

Proper repair and maintenance is the key of keeping the conditioner in the best function and can reduce the malfunction.
